In October, 2000, People
First members decided to develop a list of their dreams and wishes,
and work toward making
them a reality.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Get Married
- To have everyone wait on me
- See my father more
- Move closer to my family
- Have more friends (maybe girlfriends)
- To be engaged to be married
- Have a girlfriend
- Convince my sister the decision making power is held
by me
- Make lots of friends
- Having a good relationship with my girlfriend
- Move to Florida – have uncle build a house
- Visit my family
- To have 3 kids
- More Privacy
- Have Children
- Live on my own
- To get married to someone famous
- Be able to have the opportunity to find a girlfriend
who is the right age, and be able to see that person and have a
relationship.
- Get a new roommate
- Have relationships
SELF-IMPROVEMENT
- To be a star!
- Work with computers
- Being a better person-changing my attitude to be
more positive
- Get more education – CSP Hadley Distance Learning
- Learn more about computers
- Be a better advocate for myself and others
- Be more independent-not to have to rely on so many
other people
- To be able to go back to school for drafting
- Have schools teach independent living skills as well
as regular courses
- Learn about computers – take classes
- Learn how to use a computer more
- Start a checking account
- Learn more things
- Go back to school – college – study computer

HEALTH/MEDICAL
- Solve medical issues to be able to drive or ride a
bike
- Eat healthy – lose weight

- Full-time job – not part-time – go home with
everyone else
- Have a mansion
- Make it so people with differing abilities can work
more and in good jobs
- Work more hours without losing my benefits
- Work to change federal laws affecting my benefits
- Have a lot of money
- To find a new job
- Start my own business
- To own Walt Disney world
- Get a job and meet people
- Work at a day care
- Get recognized for my hard work
- Get an award for my work – this has already
happened
- Work with clothes, like Wal-Mart – (no more
chickens)
FUN – INVOLVEMENT IN COMMUNITY
- Learn more line-dancing

- Visit Crosby Campus of National Theater workshop of
the handicapped
- Own my own home
- Go back to camp
- Get a Drivers license
- Live on my own

- Have a Bassett hound
- To move into a new apartment
- Go to more folk concerts
- To live in a Studio apartment
- Move out of group home into shared apartment
- Move out on my own
- New camper to travel to all the states
- To go on a TV show
- Better transportation – get to church on time

- Be able to drive
